During this internship I did research on the possible appliances of a relativly new technology called eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL). I hereby focused on the possible usage of XBRL at Dutch accountant and administration offices.

Performed activities:

• Analysed the current work processes.
• Designed a new work process.
• Developed a set of supportive tools (C#.NET).
• Presented the results to field experts, including some top-20 accountancy firms in the Netherlands.

Goal of this internship was to design and develop a new type of two dimensional high capacity barcode. This also included the design and development of the software required for the processing and generation of this new barcode. Next to these developments, I conducted research on the possible appliances.

• Designed a new generation high capacity barcode.
• Designed and developed the software required for the processing of the barcode. This software was written for the Windows Mobile platform (DirectShow / C++).
• Designed and developed the software required for the generation of the barcode (VB.NET).
• Performed research on the possible appliances of this new barcode.
